Say what you want, but Apple (as opposed to the rest of the industry) generally release things with well thought-out UIs, and though they may have their shortcomings, they probably do so for a reason. Seems an awful lot less witty to ridicule the iPhones former lack of copy/paste-functions now, eh?

Doesn’t look like you can actually buy it here in Sweden (yet) but the swedish apple store has it so I guess they are going to sell them here too. Eventually.

Anyway, the reason I’m so excited is that it now has 3G. One of the main disadvantages with the old iPhone was that it only had EDGE, which isn’t very common here in Sweden. I’m sure you’ve heard about the other news regarding iPhone 2.0 presented at the Keynote today, and just in case you didn’t engadget had a live blog post about it. And from looking at that the 3G will probably be sold in Sweden (we’re one of the 22 biggest i hope) from June 11. And with the lower price ($199, around 1200 SEK although probably translated to roughly 2000 SEK) I might even be able to afford one. Sweet!

This has to be one of the most awesome Apple products in recent time. That’s without counting the iPhone & iPod touch, which really leaves us with no non-awesome products but whatever. It looks amazing. And thin.

Only half a centimeter thick at the thin end and two centimeters in the other, which means one of the few drawbacks there could be with this is that it might snap, but I guess they saw that coming and reinforced it a bit. With a weight of only about 1,3kg it’s practically nothing to carry around either. Gizmodo also reports that it has 5 hours of battery time with “everything running”. The definition of “everything” is unknown, at least to me, but I guess they mean all the hardware, including the screen & keyboard backlight, bluetooth connection and an optional external harddrive. This is absolutely a want, unfortunately it costs $1799, which is around 11 500 SEK with today’s very favorable exchange course.

Tl;dr: Fuck yeah, I want this shit.
