Dr. Phil was on CNN recently talking to Larry King about the Virginia Tech shootings. He claimed that violent computer games like Grand Theft Auto were the cause to this, and are the cause of almost all such shootings. Let us recap and look at the two major errors he makes by saying such a misinforming thing as this.
First, police had already stated that Cho (the shooter) didn’t own any such computer games. This pokes a hole greater than the ozon layer one in Dr. Phil’s theory. How on earth could GTA and other games affect someone who didn’t play them? Telepathy? Second, most school shootings like these occur in the USA. How could that be? I mean, to even think that their right to bear arms has anything to do with this is dumb right? Making weapons available to everyone could never have these consequences, right? Well, sadly, you were wrong. Quit making up reasons to ban computer games and keep gun laws, do the opposite instead. It will work.

But banning computer games will solve many other problems :).
Look at WoW, if somebody told a WoW addict that he would gain a higher level then the current highest level limit he would do anything for that. Including killing people :D.
And now when the CIA reads this, they will react! (Now when they know the real facts.)
With that, serious, statement I hereby announce the official countdown for the ban-all-games-and-especially-WoW law in the USA started.
And BTW don’t forget, Guns don’t kill people, people do.

People can’t kill people unless they have a weapon. (Yes, hands are weapons.) The easier it is to get weapons, the more people will use them.
Also, don’t give them ideas ;). Allthough WoW is an addiction. The point is banning computer games is a desperate act that will accomplish very little, and I’d bet there would be “games dealers” if games were banned, just like there are drug dealers now.
